Salsa band 'Bio Ritmo' – nearly celebrating its 20th anniversary – released 2 digital albums under the Electric Cowbell music label. This combination of Indian Funk & Salsa is truly one of a kind!
Bio Ritmo's songs can be bought online as digital albums, but you can also buy them as 45rpm 7” Vinyl Records, which make them interesting for both Salsa dancers and Salsa DJ's using turn tables for playing and mixing. Theyt also sell the digital versions in any format you like.
Dina's Mambo b/w La Muralla 45rpm (Electric Cowbell)
The first album, Dina's Mambo, is also the title of the song on the A side of the album. Dina's Mambo is a very jazzy & funky instrumental Mambo. What I like the most about this song are it's electric vibe and it's constant rhythm, which makes it very well suited for teaching New York Style Mambo on2 classes, and I love the fact that Dina's Mambo has endless possibilities for Salsa dance choreographers to use in their newest dance routines.
The song on the B side is titled “La Muralla” (English: “The Wall”) and it is a very strong Guaguanco. I love the trombone, the bass, the piano play, the trumpet solo and the percussion of this song! It is so sweet, that you can dance it whilst feeling as if you're walking on air. La Muralla is THE perfect song for the Salsa and Mambo Stylists.
Lisandra b/w Shoe Shine 33rpm 7” (first released in 2009)
The Salsa song “Lisandra” is one of the most experimental Salsa songs I have ever heard. There are some musical styles and flows embedded into the song which cannot even start to define properly in spite of my vast Salsa music experience. I like it! Lisandra is my favorite song of this collection. The song is perfect for the Salsa and Mambo choreographers searching for that one unique and special song, and it will be pleasantly welcomed by all eclectic Salsa and Latin listeners.
The Salsa Dura song “Shoe Shine” on the B side of this album is definitely my favorite of the four songs. It has it all: it is fast paced, ideally suited for LA Style Salsa on1, New York Style Mambo on2 as well as Salsa Cubana dancers. It has awesome breaks and the climax (=montuno) part is truly magnificent.
Bio Ritmo's Salsa sound can be defined as “breaking barriers and pushing it even further”. Bio Ritmo is not afraid to experiment and think 'out of the Salsa Music Box'. All four songs have an enormous potential for becoming very popular to Salsa dance choreographers, teachers and Mambo dance fanatics all around the world.
Bio Ritmo's music is the “Eclectic Salseros & Salseras' Heaven”!
