After Nucita, the ‘Dutch Princess of Bachata Dancing’, discovered the sweet Bachata Music of Joan Soriano ‘El Duque de la Bachata’, she could not stop playing it during her Bachata Dance Classes and Workshops. After listening to Soriano’s album ‘Vocales de Amor’ I also became a fervent fan of him and his music. Vocales de Amor is the right album for those of us who enjoy music with melancholic lyrics, excellent guitar sound, and sweet singing. Joan Soriano’s Bachata is also very well suited for sexy and steamy Bachata Dance.

IASO Records made a good choice in believing and supporting El Duque. Soriano stars in Adam Taub’s documentary “El Duque” (“The Duke”), and he appeared in the critically acclaimed Musical Documentary “Santo Domingo Blues” of Alex Wolfe. The ‘Bachatero’ from Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) has surely outdone himself in Vocales de Amor. The title song of the album ‘Vocales de Amor’ is a very nice ‘Sing Along’ song. The chorus is very addictive. The men sing: A, Eme, O, Ere, and the women respond ‘Amor, Amor, Amor es loque Siento por Ti’ (‘Love, Love, Love is what I Feel for You’). The other Bachata’s such as ‘No Podemos Continuar’ (‘We Cannot Continue’) and ‘Sin Tu Amor No Soy Feliz’ (‘I’m Not Happy Without Your Love’) are very melancholic and romantic songs. Soriano is also an excellent Merengue singer. His authentic Traditional Merengue’s ‘Se Me Fue La Hembra’ (‘The Female Has Left Me’), ‘La Mujer Peliona’ (‘The Lady Fighter’) and ‘Belie’ will make even the most Salsa Dancer forget his or her break and stay on the dancefloor!

The Bachata Music on Joan Soriano’s Vocales de Amor is already spreading like wildfire in the international Salsa and Bachata Dance scene. Great International Bachata Dance Artists such as Troy Anthony are already using Soriano’s music to teach and to give Bachata Dance demonstrations. This album is surely bound to be standard in the music collection of all Bachateros and Bachateras worldwide.

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
