Bachata Basic

Dancing Quick Quick Slow Basic to Bachata Music, but with a tap and an accent with the corresponding hip on the 4th and 8th count (On1). After making the tap the dancer starts dancing on that foot.

Examples in Closed Dance Position: 1. On the Spot. 2. Moving Sideways. 3. Moving Forward & Back. 4. Turning together On the Spot. This Bachata Basic is the original romantic way of dancing Bachata. The way in which the dancers move about the dance floor can be compared with the way of dancing Son A Tiempo. The dancers hardly execute any turns. And they dance in Closed Dance Position.

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
