Pedro Izquierdo, or better known as Pello el Afrokan, is considered the inventor of the Afro-Cuban rhythm of Mozambique, and a world famous percussionist. Pedro was born in Havana, Cuba as a grandson of Mandingos, who reproduced African drums.
