Cross Body Hammerlock (CBRT - HL)

A Cross Body Hammerlock is a Cross Body Right Turn in which the Leader keeps his right hand down and leads the Follower with his left hand. Due to this the Follower ends up in a Hammerlock.

Advanced definition: Partnering Dance Technique. This Salsa Dance Combination is a combination between a CBRT (see "Cross Body Right Turn") and a HL (see "Hammerlock"). The correct designation is: a Cross Body Right Turn ending in a Hammerlock Dance Position for the Follower. The Leader pulls the Follower with the Left to Right Hand Hold (see "Hand Holds") and he leads her into a Hammerlock with the Right to Left Hand Hold. The Leader can choose to get her out of the Hammerlock with a LT (see "Mambo Left Turn"), a CBT (see "Cross Body Turn"), or a rev-CBLT (see "Reversed Cross Body Left Turn").

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
