Cross Body Turn is a Cross Body Lead with two pivots to the left, ending with a Lazy Turn on the 8/1 ending in the 3rd position (left behind right).
Advanced definition: Partnering Dance Technique. It means a Cross Body Lead with a (Left) Turn for the Followers. It is also called a "Cross Body Inside Turn".
The correct description should be: a Cross Body Lead with 2 Walking Turns and a Forward Walking Turn (Lazy Turn) (l) for the Follower. The Leader makes the same dance steps as the ones he makes when he's dancing a regular Cross Body Lead (see "Cross Body Lead"). The Follower also makes the same dance steps as a regular CBL up to the 5th Count.
The Leader makes an accent with his leading hand downwards (or brings his leading hand a little bit away from him; Pressure Hand Connection or Hook Connection) (5) and brings his hand to himself making the Follower do a Forward Walking Turn (l) (Follower 3rd Dance Position) (6th count). The Leader continues to lead the Followers following hand away from him making her do a Backwards Walking Turn (l) (Follower 3rd Dance Position) (7th count).
He then brings his leading hand again towards himself and down making her do a Forward Walking Turn (Lazy Turn!) and break with her right foot to the back on the 1st count of the next Basic (so the Follower 'skips" the 8th count; 4the Dance Position ) (1st count) (On1).
The Leader feels as if he's leading the Follower into making 1 turn. In reality he leads her to make 3 Walking Turns! The CBT is the "mirror image" of the CB2RT (see "Cross Body Double Right Turn").
