Cross Body Wrap

A Cross Body Wrap is a Cross Body Lead ending in a check, Leader having one of his arms wrapped around the Follower.

Advanced definition: Partnering Dance Technique. The Cross Body Wrap has exactly the same leading and following techniques as a CBcheck (see "Cross Body Check") with one difference: the Follower ends in a Check Dance Position, but wrapped in her own arm(s). This happens when the Leading hand for the CBcheck (see "Cross Body Check") is a Right to Left Hand Hold (see "Hand Holds"), and he keeps this Hand Hold down after leading her in a CBT (5th count).

The Follower ends with her back to the Leader and with her right arm pressed against her belly (7th count) (On1). The possibilities of leading the Follower out of the Wrap are also the same as with a CBcheck.

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
