Dile Que No is a Cuban Dance & Rueda de Casino Partnering Dance Technique and Rueda Call. It means "say No (to him)". The dance couple starts in a Closed Dance Position, but the Follower stands on the right side (and a little bit behind) the Leader in a 3rd Dance Position. The Leader makes a Front Break with his left foot and leads the Follower back for her to make a Back break with her right foot (Leader 4th Dance Position and Follower 3th Dance Position) (1st count).
He then steps on the spot with his right foot and leads the Follower forward for her to make a step forward with her left foot (Leader & Follower 4th Dance Position) (2nd count). The Leader steps with his left foot behind his right foot and leads the Follower into a Forward Walking turn (r) for her to end in a 90 degrees angle to his right side (Leader 3th Dance Position and Follower 2nd Dance Position) (3rd count). The Leader continues to lead the Follower forward making her tap with (or drag) her left foot next to her right foot (Leader and Follower 3th Dance Position) (4th count). The Leader steps back with his right foot and leads the Follower across his body and in the direction of his left side making her step forward with her left foot (Leader 4th Dance Position and Follower 5th Dance Position) (5th count).
The Leader steps with his left foot on the spot, he lets the shoulderblade of the Follower loose and continues to lead her to his left side with his Left to Right Hand Hold and making her do a Forward Walking Turn (l) (Leader 4th Dance Position and Follower 2nd Dance Position) (6th count). The Dile Que No ends with the Leader stepping with his right foot and bringing it in a 3rd Dance Position while the Follower makes a 135 degrees Backwards Walking Turn (l) ending on the left side of the Leader in a 3rd Dance Position and with both of them facing forward (7th count) (On1). The DQN is often followed by the Guapería Basic (see "Guapería Basic" (OSDT).
