Freestyle: 1)   Salsa, Zouk, Bachata, Reggaeton, Cha Cha, Merengue amongst others are considered freestyle dances. No fixed patterns are danced on; Leader leads by his own improvisation. 2)   Freestyle is also another word for footwork or shines (see shines).
