Freeturn: Partnering Dance Technique. A turn done by the Follower during partnering without without the Leader touching or helping her. The best known are: Cross Body Freeturn (see 'Cross Body Freeturn') and Vacílala (see 'Vacilala').

Puerto Rican Sonora Ponceña, is one of the most popular tropical bands of all time. They got together in 1954 with local musicians Enrique Lucca Caraballo and Antonio Santaella, who had been playing in a band formed in 1944 called El Conjunto Internacional.

The young salsa performer Rey Ruiz was born in Havana, Cuba and has been a prominent figure in the romantic salsa scene, since the early 1990’s Ruiz has made a reputation in the salsa scene, even earning the title of the “Elvis of salsa” by some and “Bombón de la Salsa” by others.

Victor-Andrés Cruz was born in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, the city where he first felt the powerful essence of music, and the city that has always been one of Victor's biggest sources of inspiration. He grew up in a family that was, and still is to this day, very passionate about Colombian Folk music.
