Hand Drop: Styling and Partnering Dance Element. An arm of the Follower slides down via the back of the Leader and Leader catches the hand again near his lower back.
Advanced definition: A Styling Dance Element. The Follower drops her hand(s) directly after her hand or arm has been thrown in the air by the Leader. A common HD is executed when the Leader breaks the connection of her hand from his body by moving away from her hand and he asks her hand. The Follower lets gravity take over (Guideline for Salsa dancing) and drops her hand in his asking hand. Example: (OSDF) L-R Mambo 1/2 LLT w/ L-R on his right shoulder (7), R-R HD - HC (1) 1/2 LRT FRT.
