Hook: Hand setting used for turning. Leader leads the follower in a turn using one or two fingers. This can only be done when hook won’t slip out of the hand of the follower (if so, use pancake; see “pancake”)

José Luis Cortés formed NG La Banda in 1986, which has become in many ways synonymous as the “inventor” of Cuban Timba music.
