Inside Turn

Inside Turn: An anti clockwise turn or Left Turn for the Follower during Partnering Dance. This term is used from the point of view of the Leader. But because the starting or leading position of the Leader can change, we prefer to only name the turn from the point of view of the Follower executing the turn.

For example: when a Leader does a Cross Body Lead, this has a different point of view to the Follower in comparison to a reversed Cross Body Lead. An Inside Turn for the Follower during a Cross Body Lead becomes an Outside Turn during a reversed Cross Body Lead!

Dancer Of The Week

Sanne Keijzer

Sanne Keijzer
Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
