Pivot Turn: Partnering and Freestyle Dance Term. A Pivot is a quick half turn (= 180 degrees turn) made on both feet during 1 Beat.

Example: the Mambo Right Turn for Leaders (see 'Mambo Right Turn') starts with a Pivot to the right on the 2nd Beat.
