Reversed Hammerlock for Leaders (rev-LHL)

Reversed Hammerlock for Leaders: Partnering Dance Technique. A reversed Hammerlock (see "Reversed Hammerlock") executed by a Leader while partnering.

The Leader starts in an Open Dance Position and makes a Mambo Left Turn (see "Mambo Left Turn") with the Left to Right Hand Hold (see "Hand Holds") with a Carrying or Pressure Hand Connection (see "Hand Connections") and the Right to Left Hand Hold with a Pulling Hand Connection down and turning towards himself. The Follower moves a little bit to the right during the second half of her Mambo Basic (See "Mambo Basic") to give the Leader space to end facing forward. After the reversed Hammerlock the Leader can choose to execute a Mambo Right Turn (see "Mambo Right Turn") or three Quarters of a Leaders Right Turn Cross Body X (see "3/4 LRT CBL") to get out of the Hammerlock.

Dancer Of The Week

Sanne Keijzer

Sanne Keijzer
Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
