Shines

Shines are a range of freestyle steps performed solo or whilst partnering. The name comes from dancing with nice polished shoes i.e. "shining". Adanced definition: Dance couple dancing together but without holding each other. This can be done opposite each other (freestyle partnering), alone, or side by side (Salsa Show dancing). The dancer dances intricate Footwork with (lots of) Styling and and with (Cuban) Body Movements . This is also called "Solo" or "Freestyle".

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
