Titanic (Cross Body Open Check – CBOpen check)

Partnering Dance Technique. Also (incorrectly) referred to as a Butterfly (see "Butterfly"). The Follower performs a Cross Body Check (see "Cross Body Check"), but with the Leader holding the Right to Right Hand Hold to her right side and the Left to Left Hand Hold to her left side. This pose looks like the known scene from the movie "Titanic". Follower stands with her back towards the Leader with both arms stretched in a 45 degrees angle (like a bird stretching her wings) using tension. The Leader can choose to lead the Follower into Diagonal Front Breaks (see "Breaks") a couple of times before turning her out with 1 and a half Mambo Right Turn for Followers (see "Mambo Right Turn").

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
