Name: Dark Latin Groove (DLG)
DLG debuted in April of 1996

DLG is an exciting music band based on salsa but mixing elements of reggae, hip-hop and house. The group got together in New York under the management of producer Sergio George.

Sergio George discovered the singers Huey Dunbar and James "Da Barba" de Jesús – the former, a smooth soul singer, and the latter a rapper with reggae blends who had imitated both Tito Nieves and Sistah Souljah — together they formed DLG. After signing with Sergio’s record company, Sir George Records, DLG debuted with a much acclaimed record with George himself at the keyboard,  Marc Quiñones for percussion and Rubén Rodríguez at the bass, among others.

Trivia:
In August of 1997 they released Swing On.
