La Perfecta Band (LPB)

The ensemble is dedicated to the tropical sounds of Salsa and Merengue music. LPB is influenced by El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico. The current line-up consists of 12 musicians and the director Alfonso Lopez Jr. Since 1990 the ensemble plays music in the genre of Salsa, Latin and Jazz. Their huge popularity is due to their live performances, where they usually give 110% of their talent.

About the Author: Zsuzsa Melkvi is a salsa dancer and teacher, having competed in Latin-American and Standard dances from 1995-1998. She is also the founder of Baila Cuba (www.bailacuba.hu), a Dance company focused on giving exclusively pure Afro-Cuban workshops in Hungary. Zsuzsa holds a BA degree in Economics from the University of Hertfordshire.
