Manolito y su Trabuco was one of the pioneers of Timba music. Their debut album was “Directo al Corazón” in 1995. Manolito Simonet, the band leader of the group, was the musical director and pianist of Maravilla de Florida before he formed the ensemble Trabuco.

Their unique sound derives from their instrumentation of violin, cello, flute, two trombones, two trumpets, synth, piano, congas, bass and strong drummer, Roicel Riverón. Manolito y su Trabuco’s popularity is steadily growing worldwide and they are in the Top 3 Timba bands in Havana.
