Marc Anthony is probably the most well known and internationally acclaimed salsa star outside of Latin America and Puerto Rico. Born to Puerto Rican immigrants, Marc Anthony was instructed in music theory and composition by his father, Felipe Muniz. He grew up listening latin musicians, like Hector Lavoe, Willie Colón and José Feliciano. Anthony started his career at the tender age of 12 when he was pioneered by David Harris, a producer of demos and commercials.

Marc Anthony is not only known for his salsa music but have also made numerous apperances in both TV and film productions. He played Hector Lavoe in the film El Cantante together with his wife Jennifer Lopez. He and Jennifer became the parents of fraternal twins, Emme Maribel Muñiz, born at 12:12 am (5 lbs, 7 oz) and Maximilian "Max" David Muñiz, born on February 22, 2008, by C-section.

Trivia:
Marc Anthony is the top selling tropical salsa artist by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Marc Anthony has won many awards and was honoured through various recognitions.
