George was born and raised in New York City, and attended the City College of New York. He is a respected pianist and record producer, known for working with many of salsa music's most famous performers, although he has worked in other genres as well. Some of the artists he has collaborated with include Anaís, Marc Anthony, Tito Nieves, Victor Manuelle, India, Frankie Negron, Johnny Rivera, Ray Sepulveda, Tito Puente, DLG, Orquesta de la Luz, Celia Cruz, La India, Jerry Rivera, Bacilos and many more.
Music Career
In early 2004, Sergio George and Latin recording executive George Zamora created SGZ Entertainment, in Miami, Florida, focusing on urban artists.
At the end of 2009, he brought in Bachata artist Prince Royce, whose debut album will be released early 2010.
George was influenced by a large variety of music ranking from New York street funk to the original sounds of salsa.
Although he is better known for working with salsa artists, George has expanded his horizons, working with musicians of other genres too.
Trivia:
Producer/arranger Sergio George was the main visionary of the RMM label, and now, as leader of his own studio, Sir George Ent, he is one of the biggest names in that genre.
Sergio George won the 2008 Latin Grammy's Producer of the Year award.
In 2009, George founded Top Stop Music, and the first release with Luis Enrique "Ciclos" has topped the charts and earned him two Latin Grammys.
