February 11 – 13: 4th Amsterdam Salsa & Zouk Festival

AMSTERDAM/THE NETHERLANDS – The fourth edition of the Amsterdam Salsa & Zouk Festival will take place in the weekend of February 11 to 13, 2011 in the “City of Freedom” Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Prepare for a romantic weekend with top Salsa and Zouk instruction, awesome parties and the famous Amsterdam hospitality.

There is no better way for Salsa and Zouk dancers to celebrate Valentine's Weekend in Europe!

The organizing team of the 4th Amsterdam Salsa & Zouk Festival 2011 – DJ Mauri, Deborah and Pasty - arranged for one of the most exciting Salsa and Zouk dance events of the year. This year's edition will have some of the most sought after Salsa dance instructors in the likes of Tropical Gem, Adrian & Anita, Magna Gopal, Luis Vazquez and Melissa Fernandez, Neeraj & Gosia, Juan Matos & Amneriz, Super Mario and many more teaching you Mixed Styles of Salsa dancing. The Brazilian Zoukerros and Zoukerras will have world renowned Brazilian Zouk instructors such as Pasty & Josta, Kadu & Larissa, Gilson & Natasha and more instructing Mixed Styles of Brazilian Zouk dancing. The Salsa and Zouk workshops given by these - and other - national & international artists will be given at Beginners, Intermediate and at Advanced dance levels.

The workshops will be held on Saturday, February 12th,  and on Sunday. Neeraj and Gosia will also give special Bollywood Dance workshops on Sunday! 

Romantic Salsa & Zouk Parties with “Haute Couture”!
The Salsa and Zouk parties in Amsterdam are famous for their diversity and for their mixing of dance styles. Holland has one of the best social Salsa and Zouk dance scenes worldwide. Hundreds of participants will travel from all over the world to experience the “Amsterdam Salsa & Zouk Flavor”. The Salsa and Zouk performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening will be “out of this world”. A super line up of internationally acclaimed Salsa DJ's including DJ El Malo (Zurich), DJ Mauri (Amsterdam) and DJ Willy “The Viper” (Paris) will be spinning their very best Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Reggaeton and other Latin music for you to dance sensual and romantically all night long. Zouk DJ's Freddy, Krullaine and Zoukerro will spin the latest Zouk hits for all Zouk dancers to “swirl and sway”.

The parties held on Friday and Saturday evening will end at 4:00am and the party on Sunday will end on Valentine's Day at 3:00am. 

Venue
The main venue of the 4th Amsterdam Salsa & Zouk Festival will be the luxurious Okura Hotel in Amsterdam. Because of that, this year's theme of the Saturday evening party will not be “Pimp & Ho”, but “Haute Couture” due to the “classy” nature of the Okura Hotel. So, make sure to pack your most fashionable party dress or outfit for the Saturday party!
