No Latinos on Oprah channel

Oprah, the globally-known talk show host superstar, after launching her own channel on cable television in January, has had a lot of up and coming apprentices on her show. The only thing that we're concerned with is that there doesn't seem to be any Latinos? With 14 percent of the U.S. population, you'd think it would be a demographic the shows producers would want to reach.

This news isn't really shocking if you know the stats. The serious lack of any real Latinos on television has become really concerning over the last few years, and many networks like Oprahs OWN that have no Latinos at all should be really ashamed for forgetting about this huge chunk of the American television watching audience! So few networks even consider Latinos a viable market and it needs to be something that is addressed before it is too late.

What are your thoughts? Do you think this is as big of a problem as we are claiming it to be? Tell us by writing down your thoughts and sharing them with our visitors.

That's funny because if they didn't have any African Americans they would have shut down the channel a few minutes after launch. Who is racist now? Oprah is.

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
