Salma Hayek in new Spanish Satire

Teaming up with Spanish comedian Jose Mota, Salma Hayek is making a new satirical film called La Chispa de la Vida. Originally written for the U.S. market by Randy Feldman (Tango and Cash fame) in English, the film will be produced this time in Spanish by Andres Vicente Gomez for the Madrid-based Al Fresco Enterprises.

One of the most famous TV stars from Spain, Mota will play the role of a down and out publicist whose luck seems to take a turn for the better when he falls and impales his head in a large roman theater.

The reason we said his luck takes a better turn is that once he injures himself, hes able to milk the situation for everything it is worth. This all comes together before the untimly death of the character. Mota is trying painfully hard to protect his wife (Salma Hayek) from financial ruin and disaster.

Gomez explained to the Daily Variety that this film marks the first time a movie has been made before the original film. Gomez told the newspaper/gossipzine "As far as I know, this is the world's first example of a pre-make."

Begining its filming in Spain next month, La Chispa de la Vida is surely one to watch this year, especially if you love Salma like we do!

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
