Founded by Ri'Cha ri Sancho, Los Niños de Spring N2 Salsa of Central, a youth-based community organization, has a history of supporting values of diversity through dance involvement. Recently, the students from this organization, after taking a special 300+ mile trip to learn Advanced Salsa Techniques in Madison, Alabama, were applauded for their attitude and overall grace.
Instructors Juan Caulderon and Christina Piedra of Cultural Explosion Dance Company and Jorge Cruz of Salsafix were on hand to evaluate, instruct and participate.
The staff was very courteous to the parent and student guests, and tailored the dance instruction to the various levels and also included involvement of the honorable guests.
There were career interactions for students by professors from the University of Alabama in the areas of electrical engineering, physics and more to ensure students knew that an interest in the arts didn't have to preclude the ability for advanced degrees of learning.
In 2011, the N2 Salsa students are planning on visiting California to study aspects of the Brazilian culture, including language and dance. If you have an interest in the organization, there are sessions held to acquire entry in Janury 2011 (this month!.)
