A Red Carpet for the Women of Salsa Dance Celebration

The New York International Salsa Congress celebrated the “Women of Salsa” with Salsa’s Leading Ladies Talia Castro-Pozo, Griselle Ponce, Eleanee Jimenez, and Ana De Matos who were featured in a six page photo spread in Latina magazine.

The New York International Salsa Congress and over 350 guests, press, and paparazzi celebrated the “Women of Salsa” at the “Taj Lounge” in New York City on Monday night, November 22nd. Four of salsa’s leading ladies including Talia Castro-Pozo, Griselle Ponce, Eleanee Jimenez, and Ana De Matos were featured in an amazing six page photo spread to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the New York International Salsa Congress, a multi-day music and dance extravaganza held annually at the Hilton Hotel in NYC on Labor Day weekend.

Founder of Mambo Fateegz Inc. and main organizer of the New York International Salsa Congress - John “Choco” Knight - along with event sponsors Burju Shoes, Salsa Gear by On1 Dance Wear, and LeSpa NY threw an exciting dance celebration in honor of all women of salsa with performances by each of the featured salseras, LIVE music by Willy’s NYC, and all night long Salsa dancing. Gift bags filled with products and coupons from Burju Shoes, Salsa Gear by On1Dance Wear, LeSpa NY, Sephora, The American Cancer Society, ZICO, and Dr. Miracles were given out to all the special ladies of the evening. En La Escena TV with SALSEEK, hosted by Leticia Reyes captured the night’s festivities, followed by a TV segment with Telemundo’s Acceso Total featuring Talia Castro-Pozo, Griselle Ponce, Eleanee Jimenez, and Ana De Matos.
