August 24 – 30: 8th Curacao Salsa Tour 2010

WILLEMSTAD / NETHERLANDS ANTILLES – The Curacao Salsa Tour – the Salsa festival/vacation for Salsa students and teachers alike – starts on August 24 and ends on August 30, 2010. The island of Curacao says “Bon Bini”, meaning “Welcome”, to hundreds of crazy Salseros and Salseras dying to enjoy steamy Salsa on an idyllic, hot and tropical island in the Caribbean Sea.
 

The highly experienced team of the Curacao Salsa Tour consisting of Saneleo Petronella, Sharief Sprockel, Heinrich Provence and other professionals arranged for a 6 day long and unforgettable Salsa dance experience in this Caribbean part of the Netherlands. Amazing Salsa workshops, electrifying shows, breathtaking and sexy competitions are combined with fun in the sun, crystal white beaches, clear water swimming, coral reef snorkeling & diving and horse back riding.

International Salsa, Bachata and Zouk instructors such as the multi-time Dutch Salsa Champions Mechteld Sterk & Brian Libier from Salsaddiction in the Netherlands, Bachata superstars Troy Anthony and Georgette Alcocer from Houston, Texas in the U.S.A., and Brazilian Zouk international celebrities Pasty & Josta from Amsterdam, the Netherlands join others to instruct Mixed Styles of Salsa, Bachata, Zouk and Reggaeton.

Amazing Shows, Sexy Competitions & Great Social Dancing

The Curacao Salsa Tour became world-famous due in part to the amazing shows from world renowned teams and diverse competitions held throughout these six days of fun. One of the best Salsa show teams of the world, Yamulee, is scheduled to perform together with Christina & Rodrigo from Mexico, Mitchel & Monica from Germany, Grizzly Dance Company from Venezuela, which are just a random pick out of the illustrious list of performers. The ENNIA Salsa Dance Competition with a grand total of 5000 Dollars in cash prizes attracts some of the best Salsa dancers of the world to compete. The Reggaeton Dance Competition and the world-famous Curacao Salsakini Competition attracts hundreds of visitors eager to observe and participate. Participants will enjoy six evenings of high-level social dancing in five beautiful indoor and outdoor locations.

Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival

This year's edition of the Curacao Salsa Tour will also host the North Sea Jazz festival for the first time . The festival takes place between August 30 and September 4. Participants who extend their stay on Curacao will enjoy artists such as La India, Albert Barros, Lionel Richie, Luis Enrique, Sergio Mendez, George Benson and John Legend.
