August 19 – 22: The 2010 DC Bachata Congress

WASHINGTON D.C./ U.S.A. – One of the biggest Bachata Congresses in North America – the DC Bachata Congress – starts on Thursday, August 19 and ends on Sunday 22, 2010. Participants can expect many great surprises such as a Special Lap Dance workshop given by Summer & Alejandro Rey.
 

This second edition of the DC Bachata Congress has been dubbed "Dangerously Close & Uncensored...” by its producers, Lee "El Gringuito" of BachataNetwork.com in association with StuckonSalsa.com and BachataSensation.com.

Not Only Bachata...

The first words coming to ones mind after reading the full program are: “innovative”, “daring”, “unprecedented”, “unique”, historical” and “real Bachata passion”. It is obvious that the organizers put a lot of effort and used all of their ingenuity & creativity whilst organizing the 2010 DC Bachata Congress. El Gringuito & Co. certainly raised the bar by making it not only a Bachata, but also a Salsa & Zouk Congress. But, that is not all: the sensual Kizomba and Samba have also been added to this year's edition.

Biggest Venue   

The biggest Hotel and Resort to ever host a Bachata & Salsa Event in North America – the 4 Star Gaylord Resort & Conference Center – is the main venue in which all workshops and parties will take place. The Gaylord Resort has three ballrooms: a Bachata Ballroom, a Salsa/Mambo Ballroom sponsored by Stuck on Salsa and the new Zouk, Kizomba and Samba Brazilian Ballroom – sponsored by Willem Engel from the Netherlands - has been added as a brand new feature.

The Bachata Dream Team 

International Bachata dance stars and celebrities such as Shaka Brown from Washington, Jorge “the Father of Modern Bachata” Elizondo from Austin and Rodney “Rodchata” Aquino from San Francisco, U.S.A. are random names out of the very long list of teachers instructing Bachata, Zouk, Kizomba, Samba and Mixed Styles of Salsa in the three ballrooms. 

Themed Parties & Toby Love!

The Bachata Pool Parties in the afternoon will be followed by early dancing starting at 8 p.m. and themed parties taking place in three separate rooms with the best Bachata, Salsa & Zouk DJ's behind the turn tables. The extravagant dance shows will have excellent staging and amazing lighting added to enhance the experience. Toby Love – the Bachata sensation and former member of Aventura – will perform live with his band during the Saturday night party. The participants will not want to miss the “Bachata Congress Gone Wild After Party” which will go on to at least 4 in the morning.
