Daddy Yankee in Buenos Aires & Signed CD for Trapped Miner

Reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee - the first Latin artist to make a 3-D music video clip for his latest album “Mundial” is currently in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to promote his new video “La Despedida” (“The Farewell”). However, his local fans will be left behind quite unsatisfied because Daddy Yankee will not be performing for them. The singer/rapper arrived in the city on Monday and plans to stay for four days at which he will grasp the opportunity to visit the city's landmarks.

In the meantime, the whole population of Argentina's neighboring country Chili is united and supportive of its 33 mine workers who are still trapped in stifling heat & cramped conditions 2,300 feet below ground and facing a daily nightmare. The ordeal is more tormenting for the youngest victim, 19 year old Jimmy Sanchez, who is petrified of the dark and is also quite claustrophobic. His family told of their fears after seeing the young parent's distressed face on a video filmed in his claustrophobic bunker.  

Chilean government officials dropped Jimmy a signed copy of a Daddy Yankee CD, because he is a huge fan of the Reggaeton rapper from Puerto Rico. Jimmy desperately tried to put on a brave face in a letter to his mother that he sent up via the six-inch communication shaft. Sanchez wrote: “I've been dreaming about my mum's cooking.”

Billboard Award and Grammy winning Daddy Yankee is considered the artist who pushed the popularity of Reggaeton music all around the world and he sold more than eight million records.
