Enrique Iglesias Ready to Water-Ski Nude?

Latin superstar and 'Lady-killer' Enrique Iglesias says he is ready to honor his bet to water-ski nude if Spain would win the FIFA World Soccer Championships, but the pop star is reluctant in setting a date and said he will only do it on a night without the moon's rays showing his nudity. Enrique Iglesias added these restrictions to his promise between the songs he performed live last Friday, July 9, 2010; he was performing for TODAY fans on Rockefeller Plaza in New York at that moment.

Iglesias promised to water-ski in the nude on Miami's Biscayne Bay if Spain should win the competition.

He made this vow after Spain's national soccer team had lost its first match and was generally considered to be a long shot for winning the World Cup. But Spain won eventually, and all his fans are expecting him to keep his promise.

TODAY's Matt Laure asked Enrique Iglesias, “When is it going to happen? … When are you doing it?” He asked  this question on behalf of all the young female fans enjoying Iglesias' concert as part of the Toyota Summer Concert Series. Iglesias replied, “Matt, let me tell you one thing. You would look a lot better than me skiing naked.” But Lauer was – of course – not satisfied with that answer, so he protested,“No, no, no. I didn’t make the promise” “Look at my legs. I got chicken legs,” Iglesias commented. Lauer kept asking questions but could not convince Iglesias to set a definitive date. Iglesias finally offered, “I said I would do it late at night, and not in a full moon.”

Enrique Iglesias – the son of the world-renowned Latin legend Julio Iglesias – has been a top artist for a very long time in the Latin music charts. He has become a huge crossover star, with hits songs like “Bailamos” (“Let's Dance”), “Hero”, and “Could I Have This Kiss Forever” (a duet with Whitney Houston) hitting both the Latin and English hit parades. His all time record is 21 number one hits on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks.

Last month, 35-year-old Enrique told BBC that this would not be the first time he has water-skied naked. “That is what we used to do when we were kids,” he said.
