February 17 - 20: 10th Chicago International Salsa Congress 2011

CHICAGO/USA – The tenth anniversary celebration of the Chicago International Salsa Congress (CISC) will take place from February 17 to 20, 2011 in the grand city of Chicago – home of Oprah Winfrey – in the United States. The Midwest's premier Latin music and dance event will have the most popular instructors, world-class performers and Latin music's seasoned stars all together in one weekend of amazing and non-stop Latin entertainment!

The Chicago International Salsa Congress is a Salsa dance dream for the many participants traveling each year from every corner of the globe to follow professional Salsa workshops, watch some amazing Salsa dancing from some of the most sought after Salsa performers and to enjoy a weekend of Salsa dancing with great DJ's and live music. World renowned Salsa instructors in the likes of  Tito and Tamara from Puerto Rico, Victor and Burju from Boston and Jorjet Alcocer and Omar Tirado from Houston/Puerto Rico join many more national and international Salsa professionals to teach you Mixed Styles of Salsa dancing, LA Style Salsa on1, New York Style Mambo on2, Cha Cha Cha, Rueda de Casino, Merengue, Bachata and Tricks & Dips amongst others. The three days of honing your Salsa dance techniques will have a total of 70 workshops – including several Music workshops – in order to cover every aspect of this cultural legacy. These Salsa classes will be given at Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Salsa levels.

Out-of-this-world Salsa Parties with Live Concerts and amazing Dance Showcases
The series of Salsa parties at the CISC 2011 will start with an Opening Party on Thursday evening, February 17th and will end with the final round of the Chicago-Midwest Salsa Open Championships and the party held on Sunday evening, February 20, 2011. Each evening starts with a “Dance Spectacular” featuring performances by dance professionals from all over the world. The production team of the Chicago International Salsa Congress 2011 produces seven dazzling Dance Showcases with consultation from the famous Maria Torres, which are guaranteed to marvel the audience. The Chicago International Salsa Congress has a reputation for having top live music acts, and the 2011 edition will live up to these high expectations. Top Salsa and Latin DJ's such as DJ Saladeen, DJ Lexuz and DJ Ludwin “El Chapin” are three out of  ten masters spinning their best Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Timba, Reggaeton and other Latin music for all to experience the “Chicago Salsa Madness” during four whole evenings.

Venue
The main venue of the CISC 2011 will be the 4-starred spacious and luxurious Westin O'Hare Hotel, which is a property of the Starwood Hotel & Resort.
