February 14 – 20: Hong Kong Salsa Festival 2011

HONG KONG/HONG KONG –  The Hong Kong Salsa Festival will be held from February 14 - Valentine's Day until 20, 2011 in the great metropolitan city of Hong Kong. Participants will enjoy a whole week of high standard Salsa workshops, exciting shows and the best Salsa dancing of the whole Asian continent!

The Hong Kong Salsa Festival 2011 will be one of the major Salsa dance events of Asia. The festival's Grand Opening party will take place on Monday evening, February 14th, so everyone can celebrate Valentine's Day whist Salsa dancing. Tuesday and Wednesday evening are all about the Salsa Club Nights. The Grand Opening party and both Salsa Club Night parties will have international Salsa superstars in the likes of Eider & Luisa from Dubai/Colombia, Troy Anthony & Brittney Alexa Vega (USA), Liz Lira (USA), Dave & Zoe Paris (USA), Lourd Vijay (India) and many more Salsa professionals dancing socially with the participants and conducting guest performances for all to enjoy. There is also a Street Party at the Avenue of the Stars on Wednesday evening, free of charge.

Dozens of internationally acclaimed Salsa instructors will give outstanding Salsa workshops from Thursday, February 17 until Sunday 20th. They will teach you Mixed Styles of Salsa dancing, LA Style Salsa on1, New York Style Mambo on2, Cuban Salsa, Afro Cuban dances, Salsa Acrobatics, Bachata and lots more at all Salsa levels.

Amazing Performances, Parties, After Parties and the Asia - Pacific Salsa Open Championships 2011
Thursday evening will have the first Party & Performance Night with breathtaking shows from the international Salsa artists followed by Salsa parties with top international Salsa DJ's such as DJ Eric “Salsa Godfather” from Hong Kong, DJ Rodrigo from Kyopto (Japan) and DJ Masa-Q, also from Japan. The legendary After Parties start each day - starting on Friday - at 1:00am and end at 5:00am. The last After Party will be on Monday morning. The Asia - Pacific Salsa Open Championships 2011 will take place on Friday evening and starting at 8:30pm.
