January 20 – 23: 3rd World Salsa Meeting 2011

MILAN/ITALY – The third edition of the World Salsa Meeting will take place from January 20 to 23, 2011 in the Italian city of fashion and culture: Milan! The organizing committee – with Alvares Productions amongst others – has done everything in their power to surpass last year's huge success. Enjoy a three-day-long celebration of the South American world with spectacular Salsa dancing!

Last year's edition of the World Salsa Meeting had  the best national and international Salsa dance artists giving Salsa workshops, it had three days of mind blowing Salsa performances and there were around 4,000 participants. The World Salsa Meeting 2011 will be even more spectacular due to its large number of  internationally renowned Salsa instructors in the likes of Adolfo Indacochea & Carla Voconi from New York (USA)/Italy, Yamulee from New York, Manuel Mascarell & Sabrina Bravi (Spain/Italy), Tropical Gem from Milan and Randolph & Lilly (Salsa Royale/The Netherlands) teaching Mixed Styles of Salsa dancing. These Salsa superstars will give more than 80 hours of very innovative Salsa dance instruction.

Great Parties, World Salsa Show Contest & Live Salsa Concerts!
Attendees will have to brace themselves for four evenings of extravagant Salsa parties. The fun starts on Thursday, January 20th with the entries and selections for the World Salsa Show Contest, which is a very popular TV-prize show where both amateur and professional dancers compete before a strict jury and the enthusiastic Salsa crowd. The winners (the finals are held on Sunday) will advance to the semi final round of the World Latin Dance Cup held in Orlando (USA) and organized by Albert Torres Productions.

From Friday until Sunday evening, thousands of participants from all around the world will see many spectacular Salsa performances by dozens of Salsa show masters, and they will dance to the music spun by world class Salsa DJ's such as DJ Mauri from Amsterdam (The Netherlands), DJ El Malo from Zurich (Switzerland) and DJ Dave from Germany. The internationally famous Salsa singer Herman Olivera and the Salsa band “Orquesta del Solar” will be playing live Salsa music for all to enjoy.

Venue   
The main venue of the 3rd World Salsa Meeting 2011 is the modern and elegant  elegant and modern Milano Fiori Congress Center. The organizers reserved 7,000 square meters dedicated to this Italian Salsa dance event of the year!

These four days of high level Salsa dancing will also be filled with animations, games, fashion shows (Latin dresses & Shoes), Salsa after-parties, stands with South American products, and much more!
