January 14 – 17: 3th Scottish Salsa Congress 2011

EDINBURGH/UK – The third edition of the annual Scottish Salsa Congress will take place from Friday, January 14 until Monday 17, 2011 in the enigmatic city of Edinburgh, Scotland (UK). SalsaSuave partners up with the organizing committee to bring a congress “by Salsa dancers for Salsa dancers”.

The 2010 Scottish Salsa Congress was very successful. This succes resulted in the third Scottish Salsa Congress 2011 being even bigger and better! The Scottish Salsa Congress has over 80 hours of Salsa workshops tailor-suited for all Salsa dance fanatics. International Salsa artists such as the 3 times Dutch Salsa Champions Brian & Mechteld from The Netherlands, the UK Salsa Champions of 2008 Sami & Pilar from Colombia and Moe Flex & Tanya from the UK join others to teach you their latest dance moves. Expect Mixed Styles of Salsa dancing, LA Style Salsa on1, New York Style Mambo on2, Cuban Salsa, Rueda de Casino, Bachata and Kizomba. The workshops will be given at Beginner, Improver, Intermediate and Advanced levels. Some of the Salsa lessons will also be given to All Dance Levels.

Scottish Salsa Kilt Party and Dorance Lorza & Sexteto Cafe live!
The pre-Congress Salsa session will be held on Thursday evening, January 13th , in City Cafe. The party starts Salsa workshops from guest teacher Anna Israel. The Salsa party on Friday evening will have non other than the famous Salsa band Dorance Lorza & Sexteto Cafe – featuring special guest vocalist Lino Rocha (Rumba Caliente /Salsa Celtica) -  giving a live concert. Both parties held on Saturday 'Kilt Night' and Sunday will have sensual and spectacular Solo artists, Couples and Show Teams performing their latest Salsa routines.

All the workshops and parties will take place in the main venue - the luxurious Best Western Edinburgh Capital Hotel - in Edinburgh, Scotland (UK). 

The 3th Scottish Salsa Congress 2011 also has a “Post Congress Party” taking place on Monday evening, January 17th , from 10:00pm until 2:00am. 'Medina' in Lothian Street, Edinburgh will have all the real Salsa die-hards dancing sensual and flashy Latin dances.
