July 24 – 31: 14th Puerto Rico Salsa Congress 2010

SAN JUAN/PUERTO RICO – The “Mother of all Salsa Congresses and Festivals” - the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress – will take place for the fourteenth time in the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico. All Salsa Dance instructors worldwide knows about this special congress, where Salsa Dance history has been formed. This year's edition is filled with many dance thrills and exciting dance adventures.

“El San Juan Hotel and Casino” is the main venue where dozens of internationally renowned Salsa Dance instructors, performers, bands and DJ's entertain thousands of participants coming from every corner of the world to celebrate their shared passion of Salsa Dance. Puerto Rico is the beacon shining over the the whole international Salsa Dance community.

Incomparable Salsa Dance Workshops

The Salsa workshops will be instructed from Monday, July 24 until Saturday, July 31. Some of the world's greatest Salsa instructors such as  Tito Ortos & Tamara Livolsi from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Manuel Mascarell from Valencia, Spain, Adrian & Anita from Barcelona, Spain, Griselle Ponce from New York, U.S.A., and many more will be teaching countless hours of Mixed Styles of Salsa.

Salsa Exhibitions and Salsa Open Championships

The Puerto Rico Salsa Congress offers the very best Salsa showcases. International Salsa performers such as Tropical Gem from Italy, Jhesus Aponte from New York, U.S.A., Jayson Molina from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and dozens of other artists will be showing their spectacular and newest Salsa and Mambo dance routines on Tuesday and on Wednesday. There are adult and juvenile dance teams performing. Do you remember the movie “Salsa, the Motion Picture”? The main stars are preparing for the Salsa Dance Competition held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Starting on Thursday, all participants can experience this competition for themselves and cheer for their favorite couples & teams competing at the Salsa Open Championships, which culminates with the Finals on Saturday, to win in the Juvenile, Team and Couple Divisions.
