July 12 – 18: 2nd San Francisco Bachata International Festival

SAN FRANCISCO/USA – One of the biggest Bachata festivals worldwide – The San Francisco Bachata International Festival – will take place for the second time from Monday, July 12 until Monday, July 18, 2010. The “Mekka of Bachata Dancing” has a huge amount of Bachata and Salsa workshops, and Bachata superstar Domenic Marte will perform live at the Saturday party. The San Francisco Latin Dance scene welcomes all participants of the longest Bachata festival of the world.


Sensual Bachata & Hot Salsa Workshops

All participants will enjoy the high-quality Bachata workshops from the international and world renowned Bachata and Salsa master-instructors Camille Yannantuono, Rodney “Rodchata” Aquino, Magna Gopal and 'SalsaCrazy'. They will instruct their newest and coolest Bachata moves from Monday until Wednesday, July 14. Frank Santos & Alina will teach on Thursday. Jorge Ataca & Tanja La Alemana, Ismael Otero from the Caribbean Soul in Jersey City, U.S.A. and Troy Anthony & Georgette Alcocer from Houston, U.S.A. are just a random pick out of 40 superstars instructing 70 Salsa and Bachata on many dance levels and styles during the whole weekend.

Spectacular Shows, Smooth Dancing & Live Concerts 

The San Francisco Bachata International Festival is actually two festivals in one, so all participants will have double pleasure for their money. The stellar Bachata and Salsa showcases will keep the huge audience in a perpetual 'high', and the parties – held on several locations – are just total 'Latin summer bliss'. International Bachata and Salsa DJ's such as DJ Andres from the Netherlands, DJ Jairo “Super Chino” Aguilar from San Francisco and DJ Jazzy Jezz are some of the Latin spin masters making the dancers “dance until they drop” during an 8 night long Latin party.

The organizers of the San Francisco Bachata International Festival also arranged for 7 bands such as: “Montuno Swing”, the legendary band “Mazacote” and the festival's headliner Domenic Marte & his full band to perform live at the parties. The participants can dance with the instructors and performers  for eight wonderful evenings, which gives them plenty of time to practice and master all their new dance moves.

Venue and Party Locations

The “Parc 55 Union Square Hotel” is the official venue for the 2nd San Francisco Bachata Festival. All workshops, performances and dance parties will be held there in the weekend. The parties - held from Monday to Thursday - will take place at several locations in the multi-cultural and cosmopolitan city of San Francisco. Those are: “The Rockit Room”, “The Glas Kat”, “Jelly's Cafe”, and “Roccapulco Nightclub”.
