June 24 – 26: 2nd Congress & ISC Euroson Latino Puebla 2010

PUEBLA/MEXICO – The Mexican city of Puebla will be the center of international Salsa Dance in the Americas when the second Latino Euroson Puebla Salsa Congress and international Salsa Championships explode between June 24 and 26, 2010. Enjoy great Salsa workshops and spectacular Salsa Dance Competitions.

Salsa Dance Workshops

The Salsa Dance workshops will be given by none other than Adrian & Anita, who are Champions of the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress in 2007 & 2008, and also of “Todo Latino” 2008 &2009. They are acompanied by  one of the best LA Style Salsa show teams of the world: Tropical Gem from Milan, Italy. Adrian & Anita represent their Salsa Dance school “Escuela de Baile Adrian y Anita” from Barcelona, Spain. Tropical Gem is lead by the group's two founders Fernando Sosa and Rafael Gonzalez, who joined forces and started this world renowned group in 2000. These world-class Salsa Dance instructors will be teaching all participants mixed styles of Salsa Dance. They will instruct Salsa to all dance levels. 

International Salsa Championships for Couples & Shows

The shows will be a “battle” between Mexico and Italy. Four Dance Couples have been selected selected to dance against the dance couples of Tropical Gem. They dance against each other in four rounds and in four different Dance disciplines: Salsa Shines, Salsa Partnering Dance, Hip Hop, and Gender Free or Freestyle Dance.

The main weapon of the competitors will be the amount of votes they get from the participants!

The finals of the International Salsa Championships will be held on June 24. The winners of the preliminary rounds which were held in different cities will “duke it out” for all participants to see. In the following video you can see last year's winning couple in action.

Venue

The Puebla Convention Center “William O. Jenkins” will be the main venue in which all the activities will take place. The building stands on an area of one hectare, and the building itself has a constructed area of 33 thousand square meters. The architects combined neoclassical and industrial architectural styles with the modernist, while maintaining the warmth of its ancient walls and the functionality of its facilities. The Puebla Convention Center is the only one in the whole country located in a Historic Center of Humanity's Cultural Heritage. The building is integrated with the main tourist attractions of the city: the neighbourhoods of antique dealers, artisans, artists and the famous “Dulceros Poblanos”.

Hotel      

The Hotel Posada San Pedro, also located in Puebla's Cultural Center, is the main hotel where  the  participants can rent excellent lodgings. All hotels are located in the cultural center and only a couple of streets away from the Puebla Convention Center.
