June 25 – 27: First CubaMiSalsa Festival 2010

LIMMASOL/CYPRUS – Alberto Valdes & Andria Panagi organize their first international Salsa Festival, CubaMiSalsa, between June 25 and 27, 2010, on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. The “Poseidana Beach Hotel” on the “Island of Aphrodite” welcomes all participants for two days filled with Salsa Cubana workshops & three nights of awesome parties with some of the best international Salsa Dance instructors.

Dance Workshops

The Salsa Dance workshops will be given in three large rooms of the Poseidana Beach Hotel by a  'dream team' of internationally well known Salsa Dance instructors and performers such as Alberto Valdes (Clave Negra - Milano, Italy), Seo Fernandez & Alexia, and Eloy Leyva, who will be teaching a rainbow of Salsa Dance styles together with many other artists. Their Salsa Dance workshops in styles such as Cuban Salsa, Afro Cuban Dance, Cuban Son, Reggaeton, Timba, and Afro Cuban Rumba will not only make it possible for all “Cubanofiles” to dance their latest dance moves at the parties, but the workshops will also make the participants more than ready to take part in the Social Dance Competition.

International LambaZouk Dance instructors Jorge & Andrea will teach the Brazilian Lambada-Zouk to all of their participants. This is a unique opportunity to learn and master the newest dance craze in Salsaland.

Social Dance Competition

The first CubaMiSalsa 2010 has a Social Dance Competition taking place on Friday, June 25. The  Salsa Dance couples will compete in social dancing of Salsa, Bachata and Merengue at the open air area of the Columbia Plaza in Limmasol. All the islanders and the rest of the participants will cheer their favorites competing for winning the Champions trophy and two free passes to an European Salsa Festival. The second place winners will win a 50% discount on 2 Full Passes for a Salsa Festival, and the third price male winner will have a 30% discount on a pair of “Jingas Originals” Latin Dance shoes, and the lady will also have a 30% discount on a pair of shoes of the line of Burju Perez, which are supplied by Andria Panagi.

Venue & Salsa Parties

Columbia Plaza in Limassol will also be the venue where the excellent Salsa Shows, Animation & Social Dancing with the stars will take place. Remember to pack well, as there is a “Dress to Impress” dress code for the Friday and Saturday parties. Sunday's “Farewell Party” is “Casual & Comfortable”, because all participants will have to be able to move freely and join their favorite Salsa stars in many Animations & Fun Salsa Dance games.

All guests will be accommodated in the Festival Hotel where there is a bus available to take them back and forth between the hotel and the party venues.
