LEIDEN/THE NETHERLANDS – The Fabsalseros Dance Company is organizing their first ‘Dias Cubanos’ Dance festival on Saturday June 26 and on Sunday June 27, 2010, in the city of Leiden in The Netherlands.  The city of the famous painter Rembrandt will have a Cuban Congress aming at quality instead of quantity.

Fabrizio Micciche, the internationally renowned Cuban Dance Instructor originally from Italy, has arranged one of the few Salsa Congresses in The Netherlands having a complete Cuban experience. His team made some important decisions to guarantee a high quality standard. For starters, the Cuban Festival Dias Cubanos will have a maximum of 170 participants following Cuban Dance Classes from highly qualified local and international Dance Instructors such as Bea (Cuba), Chiqui (Cuba), Yorgenis (Cuba) and Laine (Cuba) among others. Most instructors have earned their qualifications at some of the major schools and institutions in Cuba. The workshops are given in a wide variety of Cuban Dance disciplines including traditional Cuban dances, Cubaton, Afro Cuban, Rueda de Casino, Cuban Rumba, and much more. Dancers from other Salsa dance disciplines are kindly invited to attend these highly educational Cuban Dance workshops.

Three Master Class Dance workshops will be given at Instructor and Professional Dance level for those wanting to learn and improve their Cuban Dance from real professionals. The participants will also learn many ways to integrate elements from Afro Cuban Dance and Cuban Rumba into non-Cuban Salsa Styles such as LA Style Salsa On1 and On2 Mambo. Fabsalseros DC - consisting of Fabrizio, Gerry & Sylvia - also arranged a Music Class with live instruments for the participants to play on: the participants will become the musicians.

The amount of dancers attending the ‘Havana Night’ party on Saturday night is pre-set on a maximum of 350. The special Dance Performances will be unforgettable. The dress code is Cuban ‘White, Red, and Blue’. DJ Dario Gomez from Italy will spin his best Timba, Cubaton, and Salsa Cubana for all the participants dancing together with Holland’s top social dancers and instructors.  The organizing committee promises to make this party “An authentic immersion into the Cuban culture!!”

The 4 star Holiday Inn Hotel Leiden, which is Europe’s first Holiday Inn, will be the venue where Dias Cubanos 2010 will take place. It is located at about half an hour distance from Schiphol Airport and the city of Amsterdam.

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
