June 4 – 6: 2nd Augsburg International Salsa Festival

AUGSBURG/GERMANY – Between June 4 to 6 2010 the city of Augsburg will host its second International Salsa Festival. The organizing committee invites the global Salsa Dance community to celebrate the beginning of summer in the Ausburg city and countryside.The organizators of Ausburg’s second International Salsa Congress, held at the ‘Stadthalle Gersthofen’, invited many national and international Salsa Dance Instructors & Artists to attend to this wonderful event.

Luis Vazquez (one of the founders of LA Style Salsa) & Melissa Fernandez, Jazzy & Magda, Super Mario, Angel Ortiz, Al Espinoza, and many more International Salsa Stars will be instructing and performing side-by-side with some of Germany’s top Salsa/Mambo Dancers and leading Dance Choreographers like Linda & Rafael Ruiz, Salsa Body Factory, Marion Morena, and Pablo de Queiroz.

Augsburg’s own ‘home grown’ German Salsa Dance Schools such as Ersin Alcan, Los Banditos, and Elegant Salsa have also accepted the invitation. Top DJ’s Ben ‘El Salsito’ , DJ Guachi, DJ Mango and DJ Gabriel are some of the illustrious names who will be playing their best Salsa Music for 3 nights in a row. The Town Hall ‘Gersthoven’ will be the venue where numerous workshops of LA Style Salsa On1, On2 Mambo NY Style, Cuban Salsa, Puerto Rican Mambo, Bachata, Rueda de Casino, Cha-cha-cha, Bachatango, Salsatango, and Salsa & Flamenco will be given.  All dance levels are welcome to join these workshops. 

The organization arranged extra comfort for all the participants by expanding the rooms in Gersthofen so the ‘Salsa Workshoppers’ can practice even better. Saturday evening will be the highlight of the festival with tantalizing Salsa Dance Routines performed in the Premium Auditorium of the City Hall Gersthofen.

The Salsa Bug will bite Augsburg very hard. The Salsa Fever will rise beyond control.
