June 4 – 6: Zouk Festival Berlin 2010

BERLIN/GERMANY – The popular and very sensual Brazilian Zouk Dance will see new heights during the first Zouk Festival held in Berlin (Germany) from June 4 to 6, 2010. Zouk Music and Dance is much more than the well known Lambada. Everyone is kindly invited to come and experience the very sensual and hot Zouk Dance for themselves. 

The organizers of Zouk Festival Berlin, ArtDance Company, will help spread the Zouk virus to all participants starting with high level Dance Workshops from dozens of internationally renowned Zouk Instructors and Performers such as Edelmar ‘Pasty’ Pieternella & Evelyn Magyari (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Freddy Marinho & Andressa Castelhano (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Giovani Ferrari & Ule Adamson (London, U.K.). 

There will be more intensity and more emotions as ever seen before when the participants also dive into the world of Samba de Gafieira & Brazilian Samba with shows and workshops from Kadu Pires & Larissa Thayane (Brisbane, Australia), Luciane Gama (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Marcos Simoes & Nathalie Wanner (Lausanne, Switzerland).

The “Umweltforum Berlin” (Environment Forum Berlin) is the historical location where the Zouk Festival Berlin will be organized for the very first time. The overwhelming and impressive atmosphere this congress centre with its mix of modern architecture founded on an old historical building exudes is perfect for the workshops and a terrific ‘Gala’ Show.   

ArtDance Company has a pleasant surprise for the Salsa lovers: Salsa Dance Shows performed Billy Garcia (Lima, Peru) and Charlotte Morgenrot (Berlin, Germany). 5 Zouk DJ’s, including DJ BigZook (Barcelona, Spain), DJ A. Silva (Recife, Brazil), and DJ Carlos (Paraiba, Brazil) will be spinning their very best Zouk, Reggaeton, Kompa, Salsa, Lambada, R&B, and Electronic Music for all participants to dance all night long for 3 nights in a row.
