PORTLAND/U.S.A. – Gemini Entertainment organizes the Portland Salsa Congress for the sixth time from June 10 until June 13, 2010, in the American city of Portland, Oregon. This time around Albert Torres, the creator of the World Salsa Championships will be the MC of this great event. Portland will be the location of the largest Salsa Dance Competition.

The Portland Salsa Congress has improved considerably in 2010. International Salsa Champions such as Eli & Yen, winners of the Puerto Rico Salsa Competition, ESPN Champions from Cali (Colombia) Johan & Cyinthia, and John & Liz who are also ESPN Champions from Salsa Mania are some of the many Salsa Toppers coming for the first time to Portland to instruct their very best Dance Techniques to the participants. Mixed Styles of Salsa, Salsa LA Style on1, Colombian Salsa, Afro Cuban Rumba, and History of Salsa; these mega level instructors have it all and give their all to young and old. They will also perform their thrilling and precise Salsa Dance routines. This is something no real Salsero or Salsera should miss.

The founder of Gemini Salsa Dance Company, Javier Solis, is very proud that he could arrange for the largest Salsa Dance Competition in the history of Oregon to take place during the sixth edition of the largest Salsa Congress of the northwestern part of the States. He did this in cooperation with many Salsa dancers in other states and cities across the country. The internationally renowned Salsa promoter Albert Torres will be there for the first time as the MC for this great event.

The winners for the Salsa Dance Competitions receive a total of  $3000 in prizes, including: full passes for the Amateur Winners to attend the San Francisco Congress plus their appearance on the cover of  the PSC 2010 DVD, and the Team Division Winners will get the chance to represent Portland during the ESPN & Walt Disney World Resort Salsa Championships. The winners of the Professional category will receive a round trip airfare from Portland to Orlando, Florida, to be the representatives of Portland at the same Salsa Championships as the Team Division Winners.

The event venue, Tiffany Centre, has a full bar and a wooden floor that is beautifully finished.

Gemini Entertainment hopes everyone will join them in dancing, having lots of fun, and striving to have “Unity Trough Salsa”.

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
