May 21 – 23: 6th Brussels International Summer Salsa Congress

BRUSSELS/BELGIUM -- This one is for the ‘Last Minute’ deciders. The biggest Salsa Dance Congress of the Benelux, the Brussels International Summer Salsa Congress will celebrate its sixth edition starting tomorrow, May 21, until Sunday May 23, 2010.

This year the congress brings Eddie Torres, ‘The Mambo King’ for the first time to the Benelux countries.

Hundreds of Salsa dancers from Belgium, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, and from all over the world will migrate in their hundreds to Brussels, Belgium, to enjoy a whole weekend of top-rated  Salsa and Mambo Dance entertainment. The Brussels Salsa Congress is immensely popular and has been a major force in the international Salsa Congress scene for the past five years. Brussels Stadium is fully equipped and ready for all the activities. Salsa and Mambo superstars such as Super Mario (London, U.K.), Luis Vazquez & Melissa Fernandez (Rome, Italy), Edie ‘the Salsa Freak’ (Los Angeles, U.S.A.), Salsa Royale (Arnhem, the Netherlands), Ismael Otero & Shani Talmor ( Jersey City, U.S.A.), and Manuel Mascarell (Valencia, Spain) are just a random pick out of the star-spangled list of instructors giving Dance workshops and performing at the biggest Salsa congress of the Lower Countries. 
The dance styles being taught at the congress are: Salsa LA Style On1, On2 Mambo NY Style, Mixed Styles of Salsa dancing, Bachata, Zouk, Reggaeton, Cha Cha Cha, Timing and Musicality, KizombaLove, and Zumba.

Parties

The parties of the Brussels International Summer Salsa Congress are legendary. There are enough seats to enjoy the spectacular Dance performances, and there are two dance floors available for Social Dancing. The after parties end at 6 a.m. Top DJ’s such as DJ Willy (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), DJ Cisko (Brussels, Belgium), DJ El Leguano (Belgium), DJ Dany and DJ Riccardo will make all Salsa and Mambo dancers go wild on the dance floor with their best spinning. The ‘Best of the Best’ attend the parties of the Brussels Salsa Congress.

Eddie Torres

Eddie Torres is the one person who made modern Salsa and Mambo dancing the main way to dance all over the globe. He will teach and perform together with Melissa Rosado for all participants and Dance Instructors to enjoy.
