May 21 – 23: 1st Zouk en Asturias Congress

GIJON/SPAIN – The organizing committee ‘ZoukenAsturias’ finally realized Asturia’s first Zouk Congress, which starts from May 21 and ends on May 23, 2010. The coastal city of Gijon will be flooded with sensual Zouk, Bachata and Salsa Dance. 

The ‘Zouk en Asturias’ Congress is there by great demand. Participants will enjoy a whole weekend of Zouk Dance workshops, performances, and parties. Zoukasturias has also arranged for all Bachata and Salsa Dance lovers to enjoy the same benefits as the Zoukeiros and Zoukeiras. Some of Spain and Brazil’s best Dance Instructors will be showing the participants how the dances are really done.

One of the instructor duos is Daniel & Leticia from Barcelona (Spain), who are brother and sister. They are a very important reference in the Zouk world. They teach and perform in several European countries, and at international congresses. Daniel & Leticia also have had various tours and they appeared on national television. They are also the creators of the ‘Mallorca Lambazouk Style’.  Luciano and Deborah from Brazil and Pontevedra were the first to introduce Zouk in the Asturian Province. Luigi Bachata from Tenerife (Spain) has been developing and teaching Bachata for six years. He also created the Bachata Club and the Gast Zouk Club to promote Zouk Dance. Sergio and Vane from Asturias are the ones behind ‘ZoukenAsturias’. They will also be teaching at the Congress. But there are more professional Dance Instructors teaching at Zouk en Asturias.

The congress has a very intensive and fun program. There is a free Initiation Course in Zouk Dance at the Museum Café on Friday, and the rest of the workshops will take place at the four-starred Grand Hotel Jovellanos, which is the main event location. There will be special surprise projects and great parties for all participants to enjoy and dance to the best Zouk, Bachata and Salsa music played by the expert DJ Kike. The congress organizers will pamper the taste buds of the participants with great food and excellent wine.
