May 21 – 23: Eventopeople Festival 2010

SCALEA/ITALY – The organization of Eventopeople Dance Festival is back by popular demand. The city of Scalea will rumble with one of the most exciting Salsa Festivals between May 21 and 23, 2010. Eventopeople is ready and very eager to start its congress, which is also one of the largest Salsa Dance events in Europe.

Eventopeople will not only have the best Salsa & Mambo Dance Instructors and performers, but it also renews the ‘Hip Hop on Stage’ format dedicated to all the fans of this music and dance genre. Some of the best Hip Hop dancers of all times who made Hip Hop Dance history will also be instructing and performing during this unique 3-day event.

Here is a pick out of the very long list of the attending national and international Salsa & Mambo dance professionals: Santo Rico Dance Company (New York, U.S.A.), Tropical Gem (Milan, Italy), Johnny Vazquez (Los Angeles, U.S.A.), U-Tribe (Paris, France), Swinguys (Milan, Italy), and Jhesus Aponte (New York, U.S.A.) to name a few. They will instruct and rerform Salsa in all its colors and forms. Their acts will make all participants (re)live unbelievable experiences together. 

The Hip Hop professionals attending the Eventopeople Salsa Congress will heighten this experience. Some say ‘Popin Pete’ practically invented ‘Popping and Locking’ in ‘Electric Boogie’ Dance. Electric Boogie is now part of Hip Hop history. He worked for top artists such as Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Mya, the Black Eyed Peas, and many others. Henry Link, dancer of the Elite Force which is one of the most popular Hip Hop Dance Crews in the world, has danced for artists such as Mariah Carey, Will Smith, and Michael Jackson. And Yeya, who is loved and revered by all women, has studied every dance style but excels in Hip Hop. The rest of the Hip Hop clan showing their ‘stuff’ at Eventopeople is also very good and has excellent skills.

Special Show

The participants will have a special treat in between the numerous Salsa, Mambo and Hip Hop shows. Kaidara Dance Company, from one of the most prestigious Dance Companies in Europe, will perform a very special show. Kaidara succesfully fused the wealth of African Culture, Music, and Traditions with European Theater and Dance. The dance company chose Rhythm and Rhythmic Dance as means of expressing their privileged artistic message. 

The parties will have a grand total of 11 DJ’s such as DJ Pablorico, DJ Pedro, and DJ El Temba spinning their very best music and the latest hits for the enjoyment of the hundreds of participants ‘shaking it’ on the dance floor.

Hotel Santa Catarina Village in Scalea will be the main event venue.
