SOFIA / BULGARIA – The beautiful city of Sofia (Bulgaria) is the central spot where the BG Fanta Latino Festival will be held between 14 and 16 May, 2010.  This year the Festival celebrates its 6th Edition. The Bulgarian Latin Music and Dance festival will continue to be the biggest Latin event in Bulgaria with music and dance lasting 3 days and 4 nights.

But the organization decided to make the Salsa Dance Congress even larger in 2010. Next to the star spangled line up of Salsa Dance Teachers and performers they also invited fans of Tango, Capoeira, Cha-cha, Rumba, and other dance styles to come and take part in their favorite festival.

Francisco Vasquez, Juan Matos, Eric Lalta, Tropical Jem, Nuno & Vanda, Yamulee, and Alex Lima are some of the many world class dance teachers and performers working their Salsa and Mambo dance magic during the Salsa Dance Workshops and on stage. Some of their shows are world premieres. The second National Salsa Dance Competition for the ‘Bulgarian Cup’  will be held on Sunday in 3 categories: Professionals (for dance couples), Teams (for dance groups between 6 and 20 dancers), and Amateur (also for dance couples) . Salsa dancers from all around the world can participate in this dance competition. A participation fee is required except for dancers who paid full passes for the festival. Sofia’s National Palace of Culture has many separate halls where all the workshops and parties are being organized. The pre-party and the Dance Competition will be held in the beautiful ‘Sofia Club Live’. With its cabaret style and stylish black interior Sofia Club Line is the right venue for complete and non distracting entertainment .

Note: The city of Sofia is really breath taking with its fine architecture, fascinating history, numerous fountains, and rich (cheap) cuisine.. Sofia is worth the visit.

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
