DUBLIN / IRELAND – From Friday 14 to Monday 17 May, the Irish Salsa Congress 2010 will spice up Dublin (the capital city of Ireland) with a radically changed line up of Salsa dance instructors, steamy Salsa dance shows, and a tag team of 2 excellent DJ’s. Special: the Ireland Salsa Open Championship, with a total of 1000 Euros in price money to win for the competitors!

For many years Dr Rumba and the team behind the Irish Salsa Dance Congress always kept the ethos of their beloved congress high: Develop, Improve, Sustain, and Maintain a High Standard in the Irish Salsa Dance scene. With their new chosen name, Mega Salsa Jet, the main focus of the organization will be to orchestrate longer and more intensive Salsa Dance workshops on Saturday so to keep a whole day (Sunday afternoon) dedicated to the Open Salsa Competition.

In keeping with the ‘Winds of Change’  the team of Dr Rumba also arranged for lots of superb Salsa dance instructors and performers to teach and entertain the Irish salsa crowd for the very first time. Mamboleo  (UK), Francesco Del Ferraro (Italy), Brown Sugar (Holland) and Orcun Akkiray (Turkey) are some of the international stars giving their very best together with many of Ireland’s finest. It is also possible to take private classes from these Salsa Stars on Friday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Those interested in a ‘Super Salsa Private’ can contact the management  team of the congress for reservations. The Irish Open Salsa Championship is open to all couples! But all competitors and attendees must have a full weekend ticket for the Irish salsa Congress and sign a liability waiver.  The Congress competitions and performances will all be on DVD. The Camden Court Hotel in Dublin will be hosting the Salsa Congress. Good news for those looking for cheaper rooms: the Camden Hall Hostel offers secure and fantastic accommodations right across the Congress venue for as little as 20 Euros.

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
