Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger won the 10th season of the American TV hit ‘Dancing With The Stars’ last Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Evan Lysacek, who is an Olympic gold medalist skater, ended second and Erin Andrews - sports reporter – had to be content with third position. She ended one of the best seasons of the TV show in style.

Nicole’s triumph was no surprise to her many fans and the majority of the audience tuning in every week to watch ABC’s Ballroom & Latin Dance competition and reality TV program, because of her being the clear winner from the start of the season. Evan had always been a close second.
Scherzinger and Hough saw how Andrews and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy tied with them in the lead when the couple scored 55 points after their strong performance on Monday. The three couples made the competition more intense and the closest yet after their round of Argentine Tango that made a big impression on the judges. Judge Len Goodman said, "In 10 seasons, judging these three tangos is the hardest job we've ever had," Scherzinger seemed honestly surprised after host Tom Bergeron announced her as the winner of Dancing With The Stars. She sceamed, jumped up and down, and hugged Hough. Lysacek and her partner Anna Trebunskaya were no sore losers; Lysacek accepted second place graciously and said he was "totally satisfied with everything we gave," after Nicole blew him a kiss.

Contestants including former Baywatch and one-time Playboy model Pamela Anderson, former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, and reality TV star Kate Gosselin have all danced in the 10th season of Dancing With The Stars. The television show grossed an average of 21.6 million viewers a night and competed heavily with rival Fox’s singing contest “American Idol” for the title of America’s most viewed show. Judge Bruno Tonioli said, "totally satisfied with everything we gave."

Andrews, who became a victim of a stalker before season 10 started, said after her elimination that she joined the TV show looking to put that episode behind her. She was eliminated midway through the show. She told host Tom Bergeron, "This experience has meant everything to me," "I came here under really crummy circumstances, and I just wanted to get my life back together and my smile back” she continued as she tried very hard not to weep. Her passion and emotion in her dancing grew as the weeks passed by, making her get the honorary title of most improved dancer.

The remaining two couples danced a second dance routine after Andrews had been eliminated in the initial round of Tango’s. Scherzinger & Hough’s Jive to the up tempo song "Proud Mary" made a greater impression by the judges than Lysacek and Trebunskaya’s Quickstep. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba commented on Nicole and Hough’s dance, "You set this place on fire. It has been nothing but amazing." The judges gave Lysacek and Trebunskaya 28 points on their quickstep and ended with 108 points over the two final nights, Monday and Tuesday. The favorite dance couple Scherzinger and Hough ended the night with a perfect score of 30 and a total of 115 points for the two final nights.

The audience votes completed the total victory of Nicole and Hough. The winning couple was triumphant as they rode the shoulders of the other dancers off the dance floor while lifting the mirror ball high up in the air. The finale had also some very touching moments. Contestants who were already eliminated such as Aldrin, Gosselin and Anderson danced for the audience, and the judges gave a mirror ball trophy to the team of Utah Valley University. They won the final battle against Purdue University.

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
