BUDAPEST/HUNGARY – The organization behind the Latino World Dance Festival is proud to present and invite everyone to come to Budapest – Hungary - between September 8 and 12, 2010. This high standard international Salsa festival will present the very best national and international dancers & performers.
The Latino World Dance Festival is a good opportunity for participants wanting to learn more and enjoy participating at Salsa dance competitions. The festival will be organized for the first time, but one of the two venues, the Casa de la Musica Cultutral Center, has been organizing dance competitions for quite some time. Casa de la Musica is not only big, but it also has around 3000 registered Amateur dancers. The competition hall of the other location - Sportmax Hegyvidék – is perfect for hosting the championship.
Workshops & Dance Competitions
The organization arranged an for an official opening ceremony. Dr. Máté Kocsis - Mayor and Parliament Representative - and Mr Attila Czene, State Secretary and former Swimming World Champion, will open the event. The official opening and program will start on September 8, 2010 at 9:00 hrs. There are 3 workshops on every day of the festival. Attendees can share their experiences with the current and former dance champions.The workshops will start everyday at 10:00, 14:00 and 18:00 hrs.
The instructors will give dance workshops in Mixed Styles of Salsa, Bachata, New Yorks Style Mambo on2, Hustle and Argentine Tango. There is a European competition between amateurs dancing the following styles: Argentine Tango, Bachata and Special Couple dance. The World Championship will be held for Salsa, American Mambo, Rueda de Casino and Latino Show. The World Cup wil feature Disco Hustle/Fox/Swing, Salsa, Latino Show, Mixing Blues and the Jitterbug.
